Mainstreet SA Conference 2019

Mainstreet SA is delighted to announce details for the 2019 Mainstreet SA Conference and Awards, supported by our Host Partner, the City of Adelaide, and Venue Partner, Lot Fourteen, on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th October 2019.

As the flagship event for Mainstreet SA, and now integrated with the annual Mainstreet SA Awards, this event is likely to see the largest single gathering of South Australian mainstreet makers to date.

The 2019 program includes a walking tour in the city followed by a panel discussion session and a conference networking dinner featuring the Mainstreet SA Awards on Thursday 10th October, followed by a full day session of presentations at Lot Fourteen on Friday 11th October. The two-day program includes international perspectives as well as local success stories and is sure to stimulate robust discussion as we all strive to ensure that our mainstreets are “Designed for Life”.

Keynote Speakers

Jean-Luc Calonger
A university Professor as well as an international specialist in marketing and town centre management, Jean-Luc is the founder and president of the Belgian Association of Town Centre Management and TOCEMA Worldwide – the international think-tank on Town Centre Management. Jean-Luc’s global outlook mixes his academic, political and economic worlds making him a sought-after thought leader and strategic advisor for both the public and private sectors in Europe.

 

 

Claire Albaret
Claire is the Chief Operating Officer of the Belgian Association of Town Centre Management and has set up and followed numerous place making projects throughout Europe. With a background as an economist specialising in positioning, Claire has developed creative methodologies in positioning, place branding, place making and management that align marketing and urban planning processes.

 

 

Cheryl Adamson
After successfully running her own marketing consultancies specialising in retail and shopping centre developments in South Africa for 25 years, Cheryl is now the General Manager of the Parnell Business Association representing over 1,100 businesses in the Parnell precinct. Cheryl is an expert in marketing in the retail environment and managing multi-stakeholder engagement, with her goal to make Parnell the most sought after Auckland City fringe precinct in which to do business.
