Due to the repercussions of COVID-19 the 2020 Mainstreet SA Conference in Clare has now been deferred until June 2021, with tentative dates of Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th June 2021. Despite this, the Call for Abstracts remains open and you may submit at any time.
The conference takes place over 2 days featuring keynote and session presentations, as well as walking tours and panel discussions. Information sharing is an integral part of the activities of Mainstreet SA, and we invite mainstreet practitioners to submit an abstract to form part of the conference program.
The theme of the Mainstreet SA Conference is "Embracing the New Normal", and we particularly invite submissions that demonstrate new and innovative approaches in response to the challenges of 2020.
Mainstreets, precincts and town centres are important 'living' places where the environment, society, culture and economy intersect, and the Mainstreet SA Conference is an opportunity to explore these elements and the interplay between them. Mainstreet SA invites abstract submissions relating to:
- mainstreet management and organisation;
- mainstreet marketing, promotions, events and activations;
- mainstreet business mix and development;
- mainstreet design and streetscape.
Now is the time to think about contributing to our conference program. If you already have an abstract idea or case study you would like to present you can submit your abstract any time. If you have any questions or would like to chat about your proposed topic please contact Mainstreet SA Executive Officer Cathie Trezona on 0414 901 474.
