Mainstreet SA have partnered with leading mainstreet consultants, Michael McKeown and Peter Jensen from Jensen Planning + Design, and Natalya Boujenko from Intermethod, to bring you an exclusive study tour of mainstreets and town centres.
This time the tour will take us through several key and emerging centres in the Adelaide Hills, including two within the District Council of Mt Barker, the fastest growing Council area in Australia. The tour will discuss specific design features and how they shape behaviours in the street environment, including typical impacts on traders and businesses, with a focus on the overall impact of the redesign projects and the lessons learnt. The day will include a mix of presentations, walking tours and a workshop to discuss developments around Sixth Street and Bridge Street in Murray Bridge (pictured below).
